As of today, I’m 28 weeks already. My tummy is getting so big now that it’s difficult to walk.
This coming Tuesday is our 4th antenatal class at Ang Mo Kio Hub. Been looking forward to it weekly. The class by Mrs Wong Boh Boi, Senior Parentcraft Consultant, Thomson Medical Centre is informative. She is very knowledgeable and she imparts really useful tips. She is the reason why I choose to go TMC for lessons when im actually birthing at Mount Alvernia. The lessons covered us in Antenatal Exercise, Nutrition, Breathing Relaxation, Pain Relief in Labour, Baby care, Breastfeeding and best of all, Husband's role throughout pregnancy & childbirth.
Everybody was made to sit down on the floor with a soft mat and two pillows. The mat is for us to do some antenatal exercise such as stretching of the legs, rotating ankles, relieve cramping, soothing backaches. It was relatively easy to do and something like very basic yoga. The hubbies had to learn how to massage our backs and legs.
We were invited by Thomson medical for the special tea-time talk cum hospital tour at the Cordlife seminar. Hubby felt that Thomson medical is good in their marketing and almost wanted to change his mind to Thomson. However, we really hate Thomson's parking space. The renovated wards like hotel style is small compared to Mount alvernia. The 2-bedded & single bedded are almost half smaller and the corridor looks cramp. Furthermore, baby can only be pushed in twice a day while MAH allows baby to bunk with mummy.
Afterall, we finally nodded our agreement in selecting Mount Alvernia Hospital! In addition, with DBS credit card, we got another 10% off total bills for single or 2-bedded room. My mum was commenting on how troublesome is our generation - attending talks, antenatal, hospital tours & the endless shopping spree for little Jaydon's stuffs, hehe:)
